Question about making a braided leather charm bracelet...?

I rely on you know what I am talking about....sort of like the Disney Couture charm bracelet.... but, my examine is... If i am going to use a clamp at both ends, is that all I need to do to keep the leather in status? or is there something else I need to do first? thank you!

If you are unsure, you can add a let go of glue, specially if you are going to cut the ends short after clamping. But probe the glue on a scrap of the leather, some does show up in a nasty way.
