How many of you have ever accepted/exchanged with someone a claddagh ring to signify promise or togetherness, but not engagement / wedlock?

I exchanged one with my prevailing girlfriend recently. We feel we'll be together for a very long time. It's like they tie together the bonds of a relationship.
